I love weddings!!!  It is such a honor being a Atlanta wedding photographer.  The thing I love about weddings is capturing the excitement and emotion of the day.  One of the most tender moments of the wedding day is the look of the groom when he sees his bride in her wedding dress for the first time.  There is much anticipation though out the day that leads you up to this!

A lot of bride and grooms want to do as much wedding photography done before the ceremony as they can so they can quickly go to the reception.  So in order to do they will see each other before the wedding.  In order to keep the excitement and emotions there they will do a “first look”.  A first look is when the photographer will arrange the groom in position where he will have his back to the bride when she approaches.  So when the bride comes up behind him like in this photo she can gently tap him on the shoulder and he will turn around and see her in her wedding dress for the very first time.  It can be a very emotional time for both of them.  They have been waiting for this moment for their whole life!  It is one of my favorite shots of a wedding.  You can see how they become so giddy with excitement!

The number one thing I say to every bride and groom is that this is your wedding day.  So it is up to you if you want a first look or even want to see each other before the wedding.  I just want to capture your wedding day and the moments that make up your big day.  So that you can look back at your wedding photos and those special memories will come flooding back.
