As a Atlanta wedding photographer at AtlantaArtisticWeddings I had the honor of shooting a beautiful wedding at the Solarium in Decatur.  The couple were so much fun!  It was one of the best wedding parties that I have had the pleasure of working with!

The day started at a friends house in North Druid Hills by the Druid Hills Golf Club and Fernbank Museum. There we did the getting ready photos and the first look.  The first look was filled with so much excitement! We gave them a little space so they could have a intimate first look and share a moment to together before the wedding.   We also did the formal photos there and it saved so much time and was less stressful than doing it after the ceremony.  When we finished up with the photos there we moved on to the Solarium in Decatur.

The Solarium is a historic wedding facility in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur.  The website describes it as:

Historic charm with a modern twist in the heart of Decatur.The Solarium is an historic event facility located in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur, convenient to I-285, I-20 and downtown Decatur.  We have both indoor and outdoor space and can accommodate both a ceremony and reception.  Our clients are free to select all their own vendors and may bring in their own alcohol.  A lovely bridal suite, tables and chairs, pre-event setup and post-event breakdown, on-site facility manager and a rehearsal are all included in the rental fee.  Call or email us to schedule a site visit!

The wedding itself was wonderful.  The brides father walked her down the isle and also preformed the ceremony.  There were many tender moments where the guests and even I had to fight back tears as everyone become overwhelmed with emotions.

I also want to give a shout out to one of the brides maids!  The brides maid made the wedding cake and did a awesome job!  It was professionally done and looked beautiful!  All the guests raved about how good it tasted!
