This weekend was one for the books. I shot a wedding at the Roswell Historic Wedding Cottage. It is a great venue in the heart of Roswell. It has a big open floor plan on the first floor and a large balcony over looking the dance floor.

This particular wedding was a African wedding. I am so honored to be a Atlanta wedding photographer at AtlantaArtisticWeddings. One of the my favorite things about shooting weddings is I get exposed to so many different cultures. This couple had two ceremonies. One a traditional African ceremony and the other a traditional christian ceremony at a historic church. Before the wedding I did a lot of research on traditional Nigerian weddings. It is basically a ceremony where they bring two families together. So the two families face each other during the ceremony. Each family brings gifts for the other and they exchange them. There is also a lot a laughter and entertaining banter! Which I loved. The two moms where great at that!

The couple were awesome! They could not have been more gracious. There families were wonderful!!! They are truly blessed with so many wonderful friends and family.
