“There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been.” – Percy Bysshe Shelley
Percy Shelley made me no mistake when he highlighted fall’s undeniable accord. Have you ever watched and listened as a passing breeze forces copper and auburn leaves to dance about on a crisp afternoon? While Shelley references autumn’s physical beauty in comparison with summer, I look at the season’s mention with a more profound significance. Perhaps that’s the secret romantic in me. Fall is such a comfortable time of year. I often associate it with authentic peace and multiple gatherings of all shapes and sizes and unrestricted love. This past Saturday was the first official day of fall, and what better way to welcome such a cozy, yet imaginative season than by celebrating the union between two wonderful individuals.
We had the pleasure of photographing Jenni and Justin’s sweet rustic wedding at The Hunt’s Barn in Dacula, Georgia. Though only minutes away from Highway 316 and Atlanta’s outer perimeter, this lovely wedding venue delivered an ideal locale for such a simple, yet well-designed country wedding. Jenni and Justin exchanged their solemn vows in a lush field next to the horse pasture. Let’s just say the horses wanted to be a part of the wedding day action. We, including the beautiful couple, were more than happy to oblige.
At the reception, which was held underneath an outdoor pavilion decorated with floral arrangements, warm lighting and lightweight draped fabrics; Jenni and Justin celebrated with close family and friends. They even participated in an amusing, post-wedding ceremony version of the newly wed game, using their shoes as props. And we just love Justin’s socks. Go Dawgs!
It couldn’t have been a more idyllic fall wedding day.
